Amazon FBA Agency

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is a great way to outsource warehouse operations. This allows you to concentrate fully on office activities and thus operate as usual from smaller company headquarters or even from your home office.

Set up Amazon FBA

When you book Amazon FBA, everything that has to do with storage falls away for you. You will still be responsible for the classic commercial activities, i.e. procurement of goods, accounting, marketing, etc.

Amazon FBA has the advantage of making it virtually impossible for your customers to complain about delayed shipping or anything like that. Amazon is very well positioned when it comes to shipping, you should only pay attention to good packaging for products that are sensitive.

If you have Amazon FBA set up, you will receive Excel files with new orders at regular intervals. They deliver these goods in desired quantities to Amazon, where they are then sold. Sales are estimated, which works quite reliably. Amazon’s algorithm is very advanced and usually estimates the needs correctly.

You can have the wholesaler ship the ordered goods directly to Amazon, or still do a check and then ship them to Amazon yourself.

Higher Amazon ranking through FBA

Faster shipping will automatically increase your products ranking. While other retailers often quote 2-3 day turnaround, Amazon can usually ship your products the same day. This pleases the clientele, because customers usually order from Amazon because fast delivery is guaranteed.

This is guaranteed via Amazon FBA, at the latest through Amazon prime. Here, customers are willing to accept slightly higher prices if it only saves them time. The higher conversion rate will increase your ranking on Amazon, which in turn will generate more sales, and so on.

Is Amazon FBA worth it?

You actually have to calculate that on a case-by-case basis. Amazon’s service is relatively inexpensive. But if you employ warehouse staff anyway, because you sell through your own online store and perhaps also through other marketplaces such as eBay, the whole thing is put into perspective again.

The costs are calculable, but it is worthwhile to have an excel sheet with the individual fees and your profit margin. You can find out which fees you will have to pay in detail in our article Amazon FBA Fees.

Roughly speaking, if your margin is above 10%, chances are good. Below that, it is usually not worth it, or only just. In addition to a basic fee, there is also a sales fee depending on the category. In addition, you can book some services, such as return, disposal, packing in foil bags and some more.

Especially if you have more sensitive products shipped directly from the manufacturer to Amazon, foil pouches or bubble wrap can be worthwhile. This way you avoid transport damages and customer complaints.
