A+ content as a unified term
If you’re a seller on Amazon, you may already be familiar with Amazon Enhanced Brand Content. If you’re a vendor, Amazon Enhanced Marketing Content probably means more to you. Companies usually start on the Amazon marketplace as sellers (merchants). If the products are sold successfully, you get an invitation to the Amazon Vendor Program and from then on you are a vendor. Whether you’re a Seller or Vendor, the important thing to know is that Enhanced Brand Content and Enhanced Marketing Content have been unified into one term, Amazon A+ Content.
A+ Content offers you as a company a premium content feature. It allows you to add advanced content, in addition to your product detail page. Whether images, texts or, for example, comparison tables. This extended content offers great potential and supports your customer in his purchase decision. Because additional text passages or graphic representations help to present your product in the best light and make it stand out from the competition.
As a seller, you must have registered your brand with Amazon. Then you can add EBC to any ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) you have. As a vendor, you automatically qualify for A+ content.
The additional content enhances the brand experience of potential customers and positive experiences are promoted. This positive experience (positive user experience) brings many benefits:
With a normal product description, you usually only see a text. This one is important, of course, but add additional images, typography, and more text to this text, and a customer is much more likely to linger on your product. The high quality of your product will be increased and the customer will focus on it more than being distracted by similar products from other retailers. The customer will stay longer on your site if he gets more information. The longer a customer stays on your site, the higher you rank.
The more information you give your customer about a product, the more confident they feel about buying it. Customers get a better understanding about the product when it is presented in a high-quality manner and all questions are answered. So, with the additional content, you can offer more information than the competition and back up that information with images. If the customer feels secure about the purchase, the return rate drops. Re-purchases are also encouraged.
If the customer is satisfied, he or she has had a positive buying experience through appealing graphics, detailed information. Then it will probably leave a good rating. This compliment to your product will generate interest from potential new customers. This will not only bring you more clicks, but will also increase your sales in the long run.
Perhaps the question has now arisen in your mind whether the additional content is also indexed by Amazon. So, whether Amazon also captures this information to positively influence your ranking. At the same time, you need to know that EBC is not indexed, unlike the regular product description. However, Google indexes the additional images and text. This means that A+ content also has a positive effect on your search engine optimization (SEO).
Here, quality counts before quantity. You should focus on the relevant information. That is, on the information that highlights the benefits of your product. High-resolution images also leave a particularly good impression. Stay true to your corporate design.

In fact, A+ content is not equally useful for every product. To make the right choice, it’s best to think in advance about which of your products will benefit the most. So far, it has been shown that products that are already performing well and are high-priced benefit the most.
So A+ content helps you differentiate yourself from the competition and give your brand a high-quality presence on Amazon. This will give you many advantages. An increased conversation rate, a low return rate and good ratings. These aspects are important because they help your products stay in customers’ minds longer. You’ll also provide your customers with a positive buying experience, which will ultimately help you get more customers and increase sales.
