Shopify B2B Updates - What's New?

this video is aimed at the B2B merchants among you, because Shopify has also increased in this area and announced renewals in the course of the Editions 23 update campaign. You can find out which ones in this video, so it’s best to watch until the end. But since this won’t be the only video about the updates, it’s worth subscribing to the eBakery YouTube channel more than ever.

The rules of quantity

But now back to the B2B innovations. One of the most highlighted features are the quantity rules essential for B2B areas. As you can see here, minimum and maximum purchase quantities can be defined for the products, and the level of customization has been increased once again. It is now possible to offer selected product sets in catalogs to certain customers. Recurring payment processing has also been optimized and automated, which now makes processing easier for both parties. But probably the biggest relief is the feature “Checkout to Draft”. Previously, it was only possible for the B2B customer to have an order confirmed by the store owner by phone or email. With the new feature you can now send a draft order. The trader then receives an overview of all draft orders in his backend area and can then process them piece by piece. Is e.g. but not the required quantity in stock, this number can be adjusted and the available quantity supplemented instead. Furthermore, as an incentive, discounts can also be given and the whole thing can then be sent out to the customers in the end. This saves both him and you as a B2B trader a lot of time, which gives you more capacity to work on your business.
