What is the Shopify Connector?
The Shopify Connector has been specially programmed by JTL to act as a control center and interface between the JTL merchandise management system and your Shopify store. The interface is designed to allow you to automate the data transfer and display the data in real time. There are three application areas where using the Shopify connector is a good idea:
Connecting a JTL-Wawi to an active Shopify store:
If you are already successfully using Shopify, have built up an existing database there and now want to automatically fill an empty JTL-Wawi with the corresponding data from the store.
Populate a new Shopify store with an active JTL-Wawi:
If you are already working with JTL-Wawi and now want to automatically fill a new or previously empty Shopify store to get started right away afterwards.
Merge the inventory data from the Shopify store and JTL-Wawi:
If you already have a Shopify store in use and use JTL-Wawi and now want to merge the data of the two systems to maintain the Shopify store from JTL-Wawi in the future.
IMPORTANT: After the installation and startup of the JTL Connector for Shopify and the first data synchronization, your JTL-Wawi will be in charge. This means that all changes, whether articles, categories or user data, must be made exclusively via JTL-Wawi. You are no longer allowed to change any data in the Shopify backend.
