JTL-Software has informed all subscribers today via newsletter that a security vulnerability has been found during an audit of the JTL-Shop 3 code which allows attackers to manipulate the output source code via prepared external URLs or forms. To close this vulnerability it is strongly recommended to update to JTL-Shop 3.19.4. The new store version is also now available for download in the customer center.

JTL-Software also recommends all store operators who use a version lower than JTL-Shop 3.19 to update to the new version as soon as possible. There is a code snippet as a transitional solution for older stores, but this should really only be used as a transitional solution. You can find the download at https://developer.jtl-software.de/attachments/2439/jtl-shop3_security.patch.

If you do not manage and administer your store yourself, you should always contact your external service provider and ask whether they have installed this update.
