On October 28th, more than 35 participants met for the 1st JTL regulars’ table at the “Alter Bahnhof” brewery in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel. In the reserved tower room, many conversations were held and contacts were made in an informal atmosphere. A central topic was certainly the new JTL-Wawi, even if I was not there personally. The biggest Wawi update in JTL history so far consists of announcements and the crucial question: “When?”.
The question of when also remained open at the 1st JTL regulars’ table. Partner manager Siegbert Emde left this question open on this evening as well. That JTL software must already be relatively far in the development of the new Wawi is recognizable from two announcements. In the newsletter of October 15, 2014, it was indicated that JTL software will soon offer a beta test. And on November 7, there will be a webinar for JTL service partners, where we will give service partners first-hand information about the upcoming update.

- Workflows
- Marketplace Management
- WMS changes
Even though I’m tied up in the project on Friday, November 7, 2014, I won’t miss this date secured for you and will be at the webinar on the new Wawi. Especially because I am looking forward to many new exciting topics for my blog. But for my ongoing projects, this also means working with an unknown. Especially companies that are now planning to switch to the products of JTL software should consider postponing this step. So for the upcoming webinar, there will be a lot of questions.
Conclusion
In the article “JTL-Wawi – The next release” I already went into some points. In any case, it remains exciting. I will definitely sign up for the beta test and test the new Wawi with my small test environment. In addition to the technical framework conditions, such as Windows 10, SQL Server 2014 or even the virtualization of Wawi with App-V, the focus will certainly also be on usability and process optimization. The question of how far Wawi is still suitable for companies that are not active in online mail order will also be a central question for the coming weeks and months. I will keep you up to date here secured.
