In this episode, we take a look at another exciting topic from the JTL product range. The number 6 in the customer center is kept similar in color to JTL-WMS and that is not by chance. It has namely again something to do with the topic “warehouse”, but not the warehouse management of the own warehouse, but the use of a third-party warehouse, in the broadest sense.

What is the JTL Fulfillment Network?
So now to the question what is JTL fulfillment?
Every eCommercer and non-eCommercer will probably have heard of Amazon FBA. This is the case when you as a customer order a product that is not produced by Amazon, but is shipped by Amazon Shipping. This means that as a retailer you send your products in large quantities to a warehouse. There it is stored. Once an order goes in, Amazon employees pack and ship it. This is called fulfillment – the outsourcing of all fulfillment processes – which include warehousing, picking, transportation, delivery and returns processing. But how does that work with JTL?
The procedure is as follows.

You need a customer center account as for all other JTL products. There you register and participate as a merchant in the JTL fulfillment network.
In thesecond step you need to find a suitable warehouse, which you can search via the JTL database. The corresponding fulfiller can then also be contacted via this JTL network. Find out about condition and arrange cooperation. If both sides agree, the merchant’s inventory management system is connected and synchronized with the fulfillment company’s system. The practical thing is that not necessarily both parties have to use JTL-Wawi. Third-party systems can also be connected via the implemented interface. Now all that is left is to transport the goods to the fulfiller and generate sales. But why should you choose the JTL Fulfillment Network?
