How to perform the JTL Major Update correctly

Update JTL-Wawi 1.6 to 1.7 - But first the backup
There is a new major update coming – JTL-Wawi 1.7 was released as Open Beta. Therefore, in this video we will go through for you how to update your 1.6 Wawi to the 1.7 version. But now let’s get back to the preparations before you perform the update. First of all, a database backup should be performed. To do this, go to your Wawi and click on “Start” and “Database” in the top left bar. Confirm with “Yes” and log in to your database. Turns off the JTL worker in advance already. Now go to the mandates and select “DB-Export” as action. Then select the desired destination folder, but you can also leave it as it is. At the end just click on “Start” and wait. That would already put us on the safe side.
JTL-Wawi 1.7 Download
Step 2 is: Download. Go to the page jtl-software.de/jtl-wawi-download. Here you can find the Open Beta of version 1.7.4.1 at the current time. Download it. Now start the .exe file with admin rights. As a small hint: Exit JTL-Wawi before, otherwise the update will fail. Accept the license agreement, specify your desired destination folder, then the desired Start menu folder and install the update. Now this may take a few minutes. After that, leave the checkmark in, so that JTL-Wawi opens directly. You can already see that the application has been updated to 1.7. Now the only thing left to do is to update the database as well. And so the update from 1.6 to 1.7 is complete, which you can confirm in the help section itself.
