Connect JTL with Shopware 6

Shopware 6 is slowly picking up speed, by the end of the year the appropriate connector for the connection to JTL-Wawi should be on the market. Whether it is free of charge or subject to a fee has not yet been determined.

But why combine the two at all? What can JTL-Wawi do in contrast to Shopware 6?

What is a connector?

In short, a connector is the interface between JTL-Wawi and a third-party store like Shopware. Both systems basically work separately from each other. The systems can therefore run on different servers without any problems and be operated independently. This is also not a problem with a few orders.

But at some point it becomes confusing, because the two systems have different data sets. These can be manually matched, orders in the store can be manually transferred to JTL-Wawi, but the effort becomes too high at some point. In addition, overselling can happen due to the different databases, as the inventories are not synchronized.

The Connector reconciles all data between the two systems. Orders, customer data and inventories are reconciled on an ongoing basis. This not only saves work, but also reduces the risk of stock shortages. Because at the latest when you enter multichannel sales with JTL-Wawi, it becomes confusing.

JTL-Wawi as data master

So that your employees do not have to familiarize themselves with many different systems, the rule when using a JTL connector is that only JTL-Wawi is the data master. Thus, everyone works only with JTL-Wawi, whether in sales, warehouse or administration.

The online store, like other sales channels, provides only the marketing interface. In JTL-Wawi all orders etc. come together and you always have an overview. With this, it is also no problem to connect eBay, Amazon, etc. to JTL-Wawi, as all inventories are managed centrally.

And with the new ticket system, JTL-Wawi has also received a small CRM function. This means that customer communication across multiple teams can now be handled from a single interface.

Shopware 6 and JTL-Wawi in the team

So the data are all available in JTL-Wawi. Shopware 6 now complements the whole thing with marketing. As a storefront and retail store on the Internet, of course, it should be easy to find. With search engine optimization, your Shopware 6 store will be found easily without you having to spend a lot of money on advertising. Shopware 6 offers a number of options for this, from metadata, which is displayed first in search engines, to extensive landing pages, with which you can also write blog texts, to image SEO. Here you provide your images with important data, which allow an easier findability in Google Image Search. So you get more search results without much extra effort.

You should therefore make sure to always use images in your pages, articles and blogposts. You will then appear twice in a normal Google search. Once as a normal text result, and once as an image search result. If the image is very relevant and fits the search accordingly well, your image and text will appear in the normal search. And already you have much more reach, although you have actually only written one page.
