In this post I will show you how to offer free gifts to your customers in JTL Shop 3 using JTL-Wawi. In this case, the customer himself has the possibility to choose whether he accepts the offer or not.

The first step is to prepare your JTL Shop 3 for offering free gifts. To do this, log in to the backend of the webshop and select the submenu item Free Gift in the menu under Modules.

On the Free Gift page, switch to the Settings tab.

In the Settings tab, select “Use free gift?” in the selection box. Yes off, set the number of free gifts in the overview page and the sorting.

In the selection field “Sort free gift items by” you can specify whether to sort by order value, name or stock.

Finalize your settings by clicking the “Save” button.

Now switch to JTL-Wawi in the product management. The article that is to be sent as a free give-away must be available as an article in the Wawi and uploaded to the webshop. I have already created an article for this

The Nice Saw is to be shipped as a free gift for orders over €10000. For this purpose, the article has been created normally.

In the Articles window in the General tab, the article must still be assigned to the store.

Now switch to the Other / Special prices tab and enter “free gift from” in the Name field under Function attribute and the minimum order value as the value.

Save your entries and perform a web store comparison.

Now the customer has the opportunity to add a free gift to the shopping cart.
