JTL-Wawi Tutorial – Postcode Import, Scaling Images and Invoice Templates

The many advantages of JTL-Wawi
Do you work in eCommerce and use JTL? JTL-Wawi is the free and innovative merchandise management system from JTL, with which you can centrally control and manage business processes. In addition, you can also connect JTL-Wawi to several marketplaces and centrally maintain all article data, order imports and much more and forward them to all marketplaces. It serves as a central database and facilitates your everyday work. Since the functions are so extensive, there are plenty of tips and tricks to help you actually take advantage of all the benefits the ERP system has to offer.
Import postal codes
For example, in JTL-Wawi you have the possibility to import postal codes. To do this, simply click on Admin, then on General settings and finally on Postcode. To import the postal codes, in the next step you click on the JTL software folder, the installation folder, and then you will find the import files. And with just one more click on the import files, all your zip codes are already transferred automatically. Because with every JTL-Wawi installation, you get the postal codes included, which you can import quite easily with just a few clicks and even without sound technical knowledge.
Scale images
Another trick concerns your pictures. For example, if you have too many large images, the problem arises that your store loads slower. And as an online retailer, you surely know that fast loading speed of an online store is a crucial point for customer satisfaction. Which you certainly want to achieve to generate lots of sales. The solution for this is to scale down the images in JTL-Wawi. To do this, click on the Articles tab and then on Image Sizes. After that, you can already start converting your images and scaling them as well. Because here you can specify which images should be displayed with which size. If they are displayed to you, you can resize the images and then click Select All. If you want to convert only isolated images, this is also possible.
Create and edit print templates
The next tip concerns the invoice templates and the print templates. You probably already know that JTL works with the List & Label editor to create and customize templates. Templates for, for example, invoices, delivery bills, pick lists and many more can be found here. And since they are here, you can edit them here as well. In the normal version of JTL you have the options to use templates in 4 different ways, namely standard, elegant, professional and simple. This means that even here you can create a professional layout without in-depth knowledge. So you can easily add the templates and start editing them according to your needs. For example, when you open the professional invoice template, there is a sample company logo at the top. Here, of course, you can use your own company logo. Simply select the area and add the appropriate image from your file.

And even further, you can customize the entire template. JTL only offers you a good basis. How you end up adjusting them is up to you. Once again, you get real value delivered without having to invest a lot of time and knowledge. If the templates in JTL are not enough for you, you can also contact various service partners who provide additional print templates, also for a fee. What you should pay attention to in any case is to export or import the artwork for each output format. If you want to mail your print template, for example, it is not enough to have changed the invoice form only in the Print tab. If you save the invoice, it should also be kept as small as possible.
