We participate in the SEO contest of Cinestock GmbH. What’s with seeing the Star Wars term White Hat Jedi all over the internet? The contest is about ranking #1 for the keywords White Hat Jedi by August 31, 2018. The term Jedi comes from Star Wars and is meant to symbolize the good side of search engine optimization (SEO). White Hat SEO stands for scoring points with the search engines through good content and following Google’s rules. Many thanks to Cinestock GmbH, for the contest of search engine optimization.

Why is the retrieval done by Google? Because we get with our contribution thus faster in the index? How fast? In a few minutes, because after less than 5 minutes we already have our first indexing at position 20, SERPs 2. And this with the search term White Hat Jedi. And in Google Image Search, we place here our screenshot of the retrieval as through Google on position 18. It remains exciting, which optimizations our White Hat Jedis will still think of.

Why were we able to rank so quickly, so “well” with our post? Our domain https://ebakery.de/white-hat-jedi-im-e-commerce/ inherits a trust(Trusted Domains), which Google finds our website valuable and therefore also first of all as good as every new page, which we release for indexing. Update, 11.08.2018: We are on page 2 on Bing.com with the search term “White Hat Jedi”. Even if Bing does not play a role for the SEO Contest, and Google also has a market share of over 95% in Europe, you should never leave these users out for your own SEO project. Because positive user signals are important for Google, no matter if the traffic came via bing.com.

Update, Day 1

After 24 hours, our post on White Hat Jedi is in the top 10. As a next step, we first got a first follow link with the link text White hat Jedi from the competition.

And yes, we will have a look at the tool Dynapso, which is unknown to us, the test account for 14 days is created. However, the results in this tool do not convince us yet.

Update, Day 10

As white-hat SEOs, we respect search engine guidelines and work as an e-commerce agency for our clients in search engine optimization. The White Hat Jedi among us of course needs good content that the search engines can/want to index, i.e. the website must be approved for indexing. If this is not the case, we or our clients can write super great content, but you will not make it into the index.

Content reduction and content optimization

For our own website, content reduction (focusing) and content optimization are currently on the agenda. Since we have written a lot of small articles in the last months, we currently have to clean up a little and optimize – so happened, also in our article -. White Hat Jedi in E-Commerce – which is now getting fresh content again, as it is in 14th place after 10 days and we would actually like to get into the top ten.

Update, Day 26

Once again we take a look at our contribution to the White hat Jedi, the search term from Cinestock’s SEO Contest. We are currently holding our own in the top 10, to be precise Google is showing us in 7th place today.

And here also comes to it the screenshot of 26.08.2018, the uploaded image(white-hat-jedi-seo.png) we have uploaded in advance at tinypng.com and thus from 253.8 KB in a few seconds made 81.3 KB, or it was compressed there for free. Compression has been useful with this image, as we want to use this 1920px by 1080px and 253.8 KB image as part of the load time optimization. We have uploaded 4 images on this page now and slowly we need to look and the page load time in detail. According to PageSpeed Insights, however, everything is still in the green, 82/100 on mobile and 88/100 on desktop – so Google likes our page to the White hat Jedi, thank you.

What is the search volume for White has Jedi?

We already entered this post into our Google Search Console on 2018-08-01 for this purpose and according to the search analytics, there are over 2500 impressions between 2018-08-01 and 2018-08-23. There are probably a few here who look at their own results and the competitors.
