JTL-Wawi: Create new client
In this article you will learn how to create a new client in JTL-Wawi. A client at JTL is basically an independent company / commercial organization, which has its own warehouse and must be managed accordingly. Each client that is created in JTL-Wawi can have a store. Separate letterheads, print templates, etc. can be created in each case.

To create a client in JTL-Wawi, first call up the client administration after starting the JTL-Wawi program. This is under the main menu item ” JTL-Wawi”. >> “Client management” can be found:
The expert mode
Here, click on the “Expert mode” drop-down menu – this holds comprehensive options for the new database:
The expert mode is intended for more experienced users of JTL-Wawi, or database administrators. Therefore, a certain amount of caution is required when making the settings. As a rule, the settings automatically displayed here are completely sufficient for a smooth installation. However, they can also be modified as required.
- The location can be defined where the MDF and IDF files are stored on the local hard disk.
- In the row options you can define in which maximum parameters the database may move.
Click on “next” to create the database with the settings you have made:
Now you can log in to JTL-Wawi with the appropriate data:
Make subsequent changes
If you want to make changes to the client later, simply click on the menu “JTL-Wawi” within JTL-Wawi and then on “Database administration”. The currently running database will then be closed and you will return to the setup menu. Here you simply log in again with the corresponding access data. In the menu that now follows, you can then change all the corresponding settings again and / or make certain optimizations, such as memory compression. Furthermore, it is possible to import or export databases, as well as to clean them.
