JTL scale

You can simplify your daily warehouse routine by using a scale for packages and their contents. There is a whole range of scales that are compatible with JTL-Wawi. You can find all tested models here: Tested scale models

Connect scale with JTL WMS

The scale helps you to calculate the package size correctly. The scale is connected to JTL-Wawi and can then be used with JTL-Packtisch+ and JTL-WMS.

1) To do this, open the “Settings / Workplace” menu in JTL-WMS or JTL-Packtisch+.

2) Then select the type in the “Configure scale” section. You may have to move the scrollbar all the way down to do this.

3) The correct port may still need to be clicked. Then the scale should read something when you put some weight on it. Then click on “Query weight” to start a test.

If everything is configured correctly, JTL-WMS should now display a weight.

Otherwise, adjust the settings of the port until the scale sends the data to JTL-WMS correctly.

If everything went right, confirm this window with “Ok” and the next one with “Save” – you have already set up a scale. Now you just need to specify it as a mandatory scale in JTL-Wawi, so that it is also mandatory to use it.

Deposit weighing obligation in JTL-Wawi

Start JTL-Wawi and open the menu “Shipping / Create shipping type”. Now double-click on the shipping method for which you want to make the scale mandatory.

Now select “Determine weight via connected scale” in the properties. You repeat this for all shipping methods and always get the correct shipping method based on the package weight.
