Today’s episode will again be about JTL-Wawi 1.6, but for the first time about discounting. So if you want to know how to exclude individual items from a global, category or customer group discount in the new JTL-Wawi major version, then you should look until the end. But first of all, the practical relevance, why would you even want that? Ex. If you have a general summer discount, but you see that a certain product is selling like hotcakes anyway, then you can exclude it from the discount.
JTL-Wawi 1.6 Exclude items from discount - how to do it
We have here first of all our category “Signal control”. On it we give a discount of 15% for all groups of customers. Also make sure that the “Apply discount to all subcategories” and “Discount on all items in subcategories” boxes are checked. Now, however, the ATEN touch panel went well both in the summer for outdoor screens, but is now also in demand in the winter of 2022 for World Cup. Therefore, we go specifically into this product and in the “Other” tab we have the option to ignore the discount by setting our checkmark for this item. We will now create a job for this to test whether this setting really works. So we go to the customer area, select our long-time regular customer Harry Hirsch and create a hypothetical order for him. We add an item and pick out our touch panel. Once this is added, you will see that the discount is 0%. Let’s do the reference test right away. Normally, all other items in the “Signal control” category should then show a 15% discount. So we pick any product from the category and see that now 15% discount is given.
