The term company in JTL-Wawi does not necessarily mean a company in the strict legal sense. This role is rather taken over by the client, for which at least one “company” is created already at the first program call. By company JTL-Wawi understands different names or brands under which the company appears in the external relationship. In practice, I have experienced that a company maintains its own web stores with a similar product selection for different target groups. These “companies” were combined in one client in order to be able to work with one number range for invoices, orders, quotations, etc., but at the same time to have different print templates for the “company”.
As already mentioned the first company is already created during the initialization of JTL-Wawi. Nothing else needs to be entered here except for the language of the company. All information can also be completed at a later time via the Settings menu item. To do this, click on “Settings” in the menu bar in JTL-Wawi and on Company in the pop-up menu.
With “Add…” new “Companies or Organizational Units” can be created. With “Edit” existing “Companies or Organizational Units” are changed and with “Delete” removed. With “SMTP Settings” you can define a separate mail address for each company or organizational unit to send mails from JTL-Wawi.
In the e-mail settings for the company, enter the sender address, the name of the SMTP server (something like smtp.[meineDomain].de or smtp.[meinProvider].de), the port number (usually 25 for unencrypted or 587 for encrypted connection, the user name and the password. Copy to (BCC) and use encrypted connection are optional entries and do not have to be stored.
Finally, let’s take a look at the company settings. All fields marked with *) are printed in the company address of the print templates. The remaining fields are or can also be included in print templates and are thus also printable.
