Many visitors from the USA or Turkey on my blog show me that JTL-Wawi is not only known and used in German-speaking countries. Nevertheless, JTL-Wawi is only available in German so far. The Languages menu item in the Settings → General Settings menu allows you to store categories, label, description and SEO information and products, label and description in other languages. Online retailers who want to sell their products not only in German-speaking countries need this function to support the multilingualism of JTL-Shop 3 or other store systems, if given by the connector.

You do not change the display language of the Wawi in this menu item, for example, to display all menu items in Turkish. This option is not yet supported by JTL-Wawi.

To support additional languages for a multilingual web store, click General Settingsin the Settings menu, and then click Languages.

In the Languages window you can now select the languages you want to display additionally in your web store. You can do this by selecting the language with the mouse and then clicking “Add” in the center of the window. By clicking Remove, you can also remove the language from the selected languages.

Now you can store the corresponding texts for the selected language in the category details in the “Additional languages” tab.

You can also do the same in the item details in the “Description” tab. Here you select the appropriate language for the respective description under Language.
