Two customer groups are already stored in JTL-Wawi:

  • End customers – for the so-called B2C (Business to Costumer) or end customer business
  • Dealers – for the so-called B2B (Business to Business) or reseller business.

This also describes what the menu item Customer groups in the “General settings” stands for. Here, individual customers can be assigned to very special customer groups, for which special conditions or evaluations are stored. For example, you can define a minimum order value for the merchant customer group via attributes, which the merchant must reach when placing an order via JTL-Shop 3. Or they create a customer group of regular customers who receive a certain discount on their purchases. Via customer groups you can control the following items in JTL-Shop2/Shop3:

  • individual display of articles, categories, links, variations as well as variation values. In this way, each customer group can be presented with its own assortment, information and selection options for articles with variations. This makes it possible, for example, in the web store to make FSK18 items available only to a specific customer group that meets this criterion.
  • Own prices, graduated prices, special prices as well as surcharges / discounts per article
  • individual discounts on the entire assortment and individual categories.
  • Individual payment methods
  • individual coupons / vouchers
  • individual minimum order values in JTL-Shop2/Shop3
  • individual display whether gross or net prices are shown
  • optional individual subject information in the contact form of JTL-Shop2/Shop3

You can access the customer group administrations via the menu “Settings → General settings → Customer groups”.

You can create a new customer group using the “Add…” button.

In the Customer Group window, specify a name for the customer group under Designation. By selecting the Standard radio button, you define to which customer group new customers will be assigned. Under Discount you define a fixed customer discount for the new customer group, which these customers should receive for orders. The Show net prices in web store radio button controls whether the customer group sees the net or gross prices. In theWebshop Name area, you can store a corresponding name for each language that you have added in the language settings, which will then also be displayed in the webshop. Finally, you can set the Minimum order value attribute under Attributes. To do this, click with the mouse in the table field under Name and enter “Minimum order value” here. They then enter 500 as the value, for example. You can also enter amounts to the cent here, such as 150.01. Please note that you use the point as decimal separator and not the comma.

With the “Print texts…” button in the Customer groups window you can create additional texts for each customer group for

  • Invoices
  • Orders
  • Offers
  • Credits
  • Delivery bills

deposit.
