What is the JTL-Wawi Worker?

In short, the Worker is an automation tool. That is it is an application that runs in the background and automates some steps in JTL-Wawi – for example, the comparison with online store and marketplaces to pick up newly received orders and to report changes to the item inventory.
This could be e.g. be useful to visualize new orders in the store in the Wawi.
You do not need to install the Worker separately. This is installed with the installation of JTL-Wawi.
However, what you should do in advance is to launch it and log in there with your user account. This can be found in the JTL software folder.

Start and set up JTL Worker

If you have started the JTL-Wawi Worker, enter the username and password and minimize the window.
What is also important to note: If the JTL worker is switched on, a manual adjustment is not possible. The settings for the worker, i.e. for which client it should be active, for which sales platforms it should function and in which time interval it should perform a comparison, can be made directly in JTL-Wawi.

To do this, go to the top of the menu for Admin under the automations in the JTL worker. As already mentioned, you can specify the time interval for activating the synchronization or import processes in seconds.
If you sell internationally and deal with different currencies, it is worth to check the box “Update currency rates”, because the Worker will then update them every 24 hours. You can make detailed settings for the currencies under Admin -> General Settings -> Currencies.

Further adjustments in JTL-Wawi to set up the JTL-Worker

The next option can become important for you if you work with a POS system. If the address of the registered customer changes and you work mainly with a cash register system, this function can be used to automatically update the customer data from the point of sale cash register via XML import. The next point also affects retailers with an active POS system. If you enter an order with this POS system, delivery bills and invoices will be created if the check mark is set there.
In the following, it can then be decided for the individual systems whether a matching should be carried out automatically.
So for the online store, as well as Ebay and Amazon via eazyAUCTION.
The same applies if you use the fulfillment network of JTL.
If you use the payment module, you can also use the last checkbox to adjust or deactivate the payment.
Then click on Ok.
