JTL-Shop vs. WooCommerce - comparison of market shares
Since one or the other store system comparison is still pending, we continue with this article and compare for you JTL-Shop 5 with the WordPress store system WooCommerce. So on the one hand a German system, on the other hand an American store system. When comparing the market shares, you can clearly see that WooCommerce is ahead. This may be mainly due to the fact that WooCommerce is logically natively in English works, which is not the case with JTL Shop 5. Nevertheless, this extension covers everything that a fully comprehensive store system must be able to do nowadays.

Both systems can be self-hosted – WordPress itself necessarily on its own servers, but JTL offers JTL hosting, so you can use this offer for 4 weeks free of charge as a test and simply test your store during that time. What must be clearly emphasized about WooCommerce are the countless extensions with which you can implement basically everything, but also a special extension called German Market or Germinzed. With these, your WooCommerce store will be adapted to the German legal criteria, making your store legally compliant. With JTL-Shop 5 this is also not a big hurdle, but one or the other adjustment must be made. This can be done either with the help of the Händlerbund or on your own initiative using the information provided by the Händlerbund. JTL Shop vs. WooCommerce - The similarities
However, in addition to the differences just mentioned, one must also assign some similarities to both systems. Thus, the active community is very large, active and helpful both at WooCommerce, but this is just as true at JTL. There is the JTL Forum, the official JTL Facebook group, as well as the JTL User Community on Facebook, where you can describe your problem at any time and very often get a solution. Both serve roughly the same clientele. You can start super with JTL store, because the system is intuitive, but also the costs are manageable. The situation is similar with WooCommerce. Those who have already worked with WordPress will quickly find their way around. And if not, there are countless tutorials on YouTube. Up to a certain point, both systems are also scalable. For large companies with almost corporate structures, however, Magento, for example, is more likely. be more suitable.

For small and medium-sized businesses, both JTL-Shop 5 and WooCommerce are super suitable.
