JTL-Wawi 1.6 Customize invoice template with own fields

In this tutorial you will learn how to customize invoice templates in JTL-Wawi 1.6 with your own fields. For example by a separate field, the bank details are brought into the footer of the templates. You can see how this works in the video.
JTL-Wawi 1.6 New Features
We already discussed how to use custom fields in the previous blog article. In this article we want to customize the company data so that, for example. always include your bank details on the invoice. We will now show you how you can do this.
JTL-Wawi 1.6 Customize invoice template with own fields - How to do it
The first step is to create this field. So we go back to the admin area to “Custom Fields”. We need to go to the “Company” section and create a new group called “Address extension”. Then a new field is created in this field. This is then to specify the “Bank details”. However, the file type is now not a free text field, but a “short text”. Save at the end. Step two is to make adjustments to the company data, so off to the company data. Here you see the new tab for custom fields and there you can now enter your bank details, which we will do once as an example. Now we need to get the whole thing standardized on the invoices, so now we go into the “Print / Email and Export Templates” in step 3 and find the “Document Sales” area again and we can create the whole thing via a module so that this is then also transferred to all templates.
Implementing the bank details in the template
We want to have our bank details in the footer so we double click on it once and put a new section in there. As in the video before, use quotation marks and the name you want to be there. Then a plus and select the function “JTL_GetCompanyCustomField” and enter in the brackets the name of your custom field and at the end as variable the “CompanyInternalid”. Then click on “OK” and save. Don’t be surprised that this is not displayed yet, this is because we are in a module. To check that this is also carried over to invoices, we go to Invoices in the Document Sales area and edit them and see at the bottom that the bank details have been added.
