Instagram Reels Play - These new features await you
Instagram plans to release more new features for the app in the coming months. Some of these are even said to be partially available now. Already in the summer, Instagram had made the Summer Bonus and thus bonus payments available for Creator. They now want to extend this principle. The new name for the Instagram Bonus program is Reels Play and should be available by the end of the year. You can check if you are eligible for Reels Play in the Professional Dashboard. What is Instagram Reels Play?
The program will initially start in the USA. If Reels Play is as well received by users as Summer Bonus, it will be released worldwide in 2022. By the way, the new Reels Play bonus is not only valid on Instagram, but will also be available for Facebook users. Because on 30.09.2021 Reels were also introduced on Facebook. Already since the beginning of the year, certain users were allowed to post their reels also on Facebook and thus twice. So they wanted to test whether the format would also work on Facebook. Since Reels are now available on Facebook, we can assume that the feature has been well received there as well. With this, it is now possible to post feed posts, stories and reels via Instagram to Facebook as well. In addition, reels can now be created directly on Facebook.
The new Facebook Reels
The principle here is exactly the same as on Instagram. Facebook Reels are designed to provide more reach. If at least 1000 views are reached within 30 days, then Creator will also receive the new bonus Reels Play on Facebook. The third new feature is the Instagram Story Update: Select People.
Instagram is currently testing an update for Stories in Brazil that works similarly to the Close Friends feature. The “Close Friends” feature allows users to create a list and share their stories only with users on that list. Select People is based on the same principle with the difference that users can choose who should see this story and who not directly when posting. So the feature offers more flexibility.
