What is JTL-Wawi ?
Functions and modules of the JTL merchandise management system

What is JTL-Wawi ? - General information
In the last episode I told you that the JTL Customer Center is the administration instance for all JTL products. So if you want to use JTL-Wawi, JTL-WMS or other JTL products, you have to register here first. Now we want to go through the individual JTL products piece by piece for you, so you know what they are all about. So chronologically, we would start today with enterprise resource planning. JTL-Wawi is the flagship of the series. JTL itself calls it the “Central data pool and starting point for most processes”. That means, here your data will be set, maintained and if necessary also transferred, if you e.g. want to change your data. uses the Shopware Connector or eazyAuction to transfer this optimized data quickly and easily to the respective marketplace or online store.
What is JTL-Wawi ? - The functions
However, not only article data is maintained here, but also data on ordering and sales – which, for example, can be used to manage the sales process. These can be quotations, orders, subscriptions or purchase lists, supplier orders or backorder reminders. In the same way, you will find the customer data here – especially since you have maintained them, of course. It is possible to create certain customer groups, which are then granted special discounts for e.g. Regular customers. Accordingly, customer-specific prices can be assigned. The entire shipping process is managed, whether it is your own warehouse, JTL fulfillment warehouse or other dropshipping warehouse. This also includes returns management. But before shipping comes the warehouse organization in the first place. Whether your goods are in one or more warehouses or are currently in the third-party warehouse – the JTL-Wawi inventory management system always keeps an eye on your stock. In addition to the classic processes in online commerce, JTL-Wawi also covers accounting aspects, such as the export of accounting data in the common DATEV format for your tax advisor or the creation of print, e-mail and export templates, for time savings and efficient work. You can download JTL-Wawi in the customer center or you will be redirected from there to the corresponding landing page. At this time, the 1.5.55.1 version is offered as the latest active version.
Download and installation of the enterprise resource planning
We already made some videos about the 1.6 Wawi, which is still in the open beta phase. You can also download and test them already. However, this version is not yet recommended for live operation. How to install the 1.5 or 1.6 Wawi you can read in the blog articles. Otherwise, you can also find the hosting option mentioned in the last video in the customer center. Depending on how many users intend to use the system, the price varies between €39.99 and a maximum of €129 per month. Bronze support is included in every tariff. To create pick lists and optimize picking you can use JTL Packing Table+ as an additional module. Instead of constantly printing out individual orders and looking them up one by one, it would be better to use one big list with all products of all orders, wouldn’t it? What is JTL-Wawi and what extension modules are available?
The paid MultiShop extension makes it possible to manage multiple online stores with one Wawi. Here is a brief summary of the advantages. The price comparison module obtains competitor prices from marketplaces for a given product. However, this module would no longer be compatible with the latest Wawi version. The payment module enables synchronization of payments, e.g. when they are made. be made via Amazon Pay or PayPal. The HBCI/FinTS standard is used, which means that separate applications or services from the banking institution are not necessary. The advantages are therefore the real-time reconciliation of incoming and outgoing payments, whereby repayments and settlements of incoming invoices can be made directly from JTL-Wawi. The service desk module is still in beta, but roughly outlines a ticket system for better customer and supplier communication. This means that incoming e-mails can be converted into tickets, which can then be categorized using labels, so that you always have an overview and no customer inquiry is lost. Last but not least, we have a connection module between JTL-Wawi and JTL-POS. The ERPConnected multi-cash module. This ensures near real-time data synchronization between JTL-POS and JTL-Wawi. As the name suggests, this allows multiple cash registers to be used. The perfect extension for omnichannel retailers.
