How to correctly convert the VAT for 2021
In this video we will show you how to change the VAT rate from 16% to 19% and from 5% to 7% for Shopware 5 and Shopware 6 without missing New Year’s Eve. In this Shopware Screecast Tutorial Episode, we demonstrate how you can master the 2021 VAT conversion.
Shopware VAT conversion to 19% / 7%
In this blog article we want to demonstrate you how to manage the VAT conversion back to 19% or 7% for your Shopware 5 store as well as the Shopware 6 store. We start with Shopware 5.
Shopware 5 multi tax conversion
Here you need to go to Settings in your Basic Settings, in the Shop Settings and Taxes folder. Your tax rates will be displayed here. As you can see, the corona-related VAT reduction still applies. You can change this from 16% back to 19% after closing time on 12/31 by going to Edit and preferably changing both the name and the default tax rate. You do the same for your reduced tax rate. So from 5 to 7 percent.
When you’re done, save and you’re ready for 2021.
Shopware 6 multi tax conversion
For the Shopware 6 store, the customization process is similar. In the administration area, go to your settings, on the icon for taxes and you will already see your normal and reduced tax rate. Using the context menu, you can edit them and simply adjust the tax rate, and of course don’t forget to save them.
