eBay SEO Hack – How to integrate hidden keywords
Get found for more keywords with this eBay SEO Hack
This eBay SEO hack lets you include hidden keywords in your listings, which are accordingly not visible, but indexed.
Previously, we have already shown you how to include the appropriate keywords in your title, what the function of the subtitle is and also how you are more likely to be found through article features. This should have made the relevance of keywords clear. This screencast is about an eBay SEO hack that allows you to add more keywords that will be indexed.
Include additional search terms in variants articles
For the demonstration of this eBay SEO trick, it is important in our case that it is about variant items. The hack also works with single articles, but then it is no longer about hidden keywords. Therefore, in this guide, we will focus only on the eBay variants items for now.
So go to your Seller Cockpit Pro and scroll down to view all your listings. Select an article that is offered in several variants and edit it. Next to the Variants sub-item is an “Edit” button that you need to use to edit them.
After you do that, click the button next to Selected Attributes and Options .
Remember the number of your variants
The number of variants determines how many keywords can be inserted. In our screencast example, it is a variant item with 15 variants that we have chosen to demonstrate our eBay SEO hack.
You must include the same number of keywords as there are variants. Don't get the idea to use only one keyword for all variants. This does not work!
How the eBay SEO Hack works
The trick now is to add a variant attribute called “MPN”. Normally, MPN stands for “Manufacturer Part Number”. We use these to place our keywords as options here. So add here under the attribute “MPN” the same number of options as there are variants. Then confirm your entry with Update variants.

In the next step you open the editing area for variants again. Here you scroll down to the bottom and should find a column called “MPN” where you can manually add the 15 keywords to your 15 variants.

Additional tip for long-tail keywords
As a small additional tip on the side: If you want to go for the long-tail keywords, which usually consist of several words, then these can and should be connected by an underscore. So for example. longtail_keyword_ebakery.
