Google Ads Express vs.
Google Ads Express looks like a good alternative to Google Ads at first glance. Not so cluttered, a simple interface and yet all the important functions are available. You can set keywords for your campaigns, the radius of the insertion and you can also track everything.
But is Google Ads Express really as good as it seems? So why isn’t everyone doing it?
Google Ads Express Disadvantages
Since it is supposed to be easier to use than Google Ads, some features are not available. For example, inserting your own keywords. You can only choose from predefined keywords that Google Ads Express reads from your website. However, this requires that your texts already contain the keywords for which you want to be found.
In addition, these keywords are only used with the “largely matching” option, which results in a high scattering effect. If your keywords are generic anyway, your ads will often be displayed to irrelevant queries and outside of your target audience.
It is also not possible to select negative keywords (show my ad when the searcher searches for apples, but not when he searches for cider). Thus, the playout of the ad cannot be restricted in this way.
You can enable useful extensions in Google Ads:
- Call extension: This makes it easy for your potential new customers to contact you. You have a phone number displayed, which is even clickable on smartphones.
- Callouts: Here you have the option to display more info about a special offer just below the title line.
- Sitelinks: This allows you to deposit special landing pages for this ad instead of just your homepage.
- Snippets: a list of services (e.g., range of treatments, areas of law, courses, etc).
- Location extension: Shows your visitors directly your location au Google Maps with route planner.
Google Ads Express Cost
The consideration on the budget proposal is almost good. You get an overview of what your competitors spend on their ads in terms of advertising budget. However, if the result is a range between €50 and €400, which can happen depending on the industry, this is not very helpful. So this ad should be taken with a grain of salt, because even if the advertising budget is large, the campaign doesn’t have to run well either. It is better to switch to Google Ads and deal with the issue sufficiently or hire a professional right away.
