Shopware ERP Pickware

The merchandise management for Shopware 5 / Shopware 6

In this video, we take a closer look at the Shopware ERP Pickware or merchandise management for Shopware 5 / Shopware 6. From warehouse management to POS, Pickware integrates seamlessly with your Shopware store. How to do that, you can see in this Shopware tutorial.

Shopware ERP Pickware - The internal merchandise management system

Today’s episode will be about direct Shopware integration and inventory management for warehouse, shipping and checkout. We are talking about pickware.
With the system, you can centrally manage your data and optimize and automate partial processes. But who or what is Pickware anyway?

What is Pickware?

Pickware is a software development company based in Darmstadt, Hesse, that specializes in the Shopware 5 and Shopware 6 store systems. So far, there is the Universal ERP Starter solution, which enables centralized ERP functions such as warehouse management, pick lists and a lot more. The whole thing is complemented by the Shopware POS system Pickware POS with which it will then be possible in offline retail, eg. Sell in the retail store or at trade shows and use the iPad as a cash register. In this way, you can see all online and offline activities in one system and use the full omnichannel potential.

The Pickware WMS is still under development

In terms of automation, the Pickware WMS, i.e. the Pickware warehouse management system, is way out in front. The barcode-based process control here enables a very high degree of automation during shipping and storage. However, this is currently still under development.
In addition, DHL and GLS shipping modules are offered, as we already know from Shopify.

Shopware ERP Pickware Installation

The installation is super simple. Once you have logged in to your Shopware account in the “My Extensions” section, you can download the Pickware ERP Starter App, which will then integrate seamlessly into your store. This will be e.g. clearly if we just go into a product, click on the “Inventory” tab and look at this new field. Here you can now look at which storage location the product is located, or if you have several warehouses, in which warehouse it is located in the first place.

Manage storage bins with the help of Pickware warehousing

A new bearing can then be e.g. Be created in this new area called “Warehousing” in the subcategory “Warehouses and storage bins”. To do this, you only need to enter an abbreviation and the name of the warehouse, as well as the company data, and then you can create storage bins for this warehouse. If you have added a product to the bin, it will also be listed within the inventory overview for the bin. However, you also have a subcategory for the entire stock, with which you then receive an entire stock overview. Again, if you use multiple warehouses, you can filter by them individually. In this way, you, and above all your employees, always have an overview, which in turn indirectly affects the satisfaction of the customer, if he really gets the goods he ordered. I think it’s obvious that a coordinated handling process saves time on both sides.

Shopware ERP Pickware also enables purchase management

However, not only the outgoing, but also incoming processes can be coordinated. So there is also a separate tab for purchasing. Here, suppliers themselves, as well as the requirements planning, purchasing list and orders are divided into respective categories. Another highlight that we had already mentioned is the pick lists. To do this, let’s go into the purchase orders, pick X any one, scroll down to the documents and create a new document. Then we see that now here are the pick lists. We can select a date for this, as well as the warehouse in which to pick and leave a comment for the employee if necessary. The pick list would then look like this. We see the sales channel, as well as the customer data, as well as the shipping address, but most importantly the products including storage space. And at the end our comment.

Finally, we come to the price aspect. The Pickware ERP Starter extension for your Shopware 6, as I just showed you, is available for 99€ monthly. The Pickware POS then costs approx. 99€ per month. per month per license. Circa because there is a little staggering that you see here. The GLS and DHL module I just mentioned is free to use for Shopware 6.
