These three Shopware 6 experience types are available

We bring you in this blog the CMS, so the content management system of Shopware 6 a little closer. So we devote ourselves to the worlds of experience. We can find these under Content and Experiences. You can already see your default layouts for legal pages, shipping and payment methods etc. here.
But we want to create a new layout, which we can do with the blue button in the upper right corner. We have the choice between store pages, which usually include service pages, i.e. the imprint, the GTC’s and the privacy policy, but also landing pages, which we will take a closer look at in a moment.
Category pages usually contain your products.

Preferences for your landing page

Once you’ve decided on the landing page, you can decide whether you want your primary section to be full-width or have a sidebar. As a small tip beforehand – when creating landing pages, it makes sense to think about a design concept on the one hand, and to already know the textual content on the other. This makes it easier for you, as you can then already use e.g. you can create a two-part block in which the text is placed on one side and a matching image or video can be created on the other side. We want to create our landing page in full width and give the layout a name. So now we are in the CMS.

The CMS for editing your Shopware 6 worlds of experience

In the middle is the spreading area, i.e. the field that will also be played out later in the frontend. The blocks can be inserted in two ways. Either with a click on the “+” in the middle or via the gear wheel. In the right column you have full choice and can drag and drop your desired block. You can choose between text blocks, image and video blocks, hybrid blocks, i.e. with text and image. In addition, you can also add products to your store, create a sidebar or create forms. Under these respective blocks there is then once again a selection from various arrangements. We now drag and drop the first block into the main field and thus have created our first block.

The text editor in the Shopware CMS has these features to offer

If you click into this block, a gear wheel will also appear there. Here opens the text editor with which you can find everything a CMS should have to offer. internal or external links, create bold and italic text, implement enumerations and much more.
In the second tab“Settings” the alignment can be changed. Click on Done when you are satisfied with your result. As a second block, we again want to create the full width to include a video. You have the choice between YouTube and Vimeo. If you move the cursor over the cogwheel, you have the option to play the video automatically, to set a start and end time and, of course, to enter the correct link.
With the “Repeat video” button you can, for example. then a video loop can be created.

Use the Navigator to change the block order of your Shopware 6 experiences

If you now want to deviate from your original plan and change the order, this can be done in the navigation menu. Here you can see all used layout sections in the Navigator. If I want to have the video above my text, I can either move the element to the upper box or simply move the entire box up or down in the context menu. This way you can build your own landing page step by step. We now save ours once and want to play them out in the frontend. To do this, we go to Catalog and Categoriesin the left sidebar , createa new category and assign the layout we just created. Then save and your landing page can be found in the store.
