Create a new customer group

Now let’s go to our Shopware 6 backend and create a new customer. We’ll do that in quick format at this point. If you want to know more about this, feel free to read through our customer management blog again. Once we have created it, we want to create a new customer group for it, of course you can also put any other customer into this customer group. This is done in the settings. Here in the menu for the store is a sub-item called “Customer groups”. At the top right we can create a new group. For the simplest approach, we simply enter the name of the customer group and determine whether it is B2B or B2C customers, i.e. whether net or gross prices should be displayed. Now we can go back to the customer overview and into the profile of the customer we just created. We assign it to the “test customer group”.

Create Shopware 6 Scale Prices - A rule must first be created in the Rulebuilder.

Now all the arrangements are in place. Now come the decisive steps. A rule must be created in the Rule Builder for this purpose. If you have never worked with the Rule Builder in Shopware 6 before, feel free to check out the blog. This can also be found in the store settings. Create a new rule, give it a name and a priority level. As type you can select “Price”. Now the condition must be: Customer group > is one of > test group in our case, i.e. this one that we had just created. Save at the end, of course. Now let’s go into one of our products for which we want to integrate scale pricing. This can be created under “Extended prices”. If you want these price scales to apply to all customers, you can of course select “all customers”.

Shopware 6 Scale prices - check in frontend

However, we want to demonstrate the whole thing for a specific customer group, in which, for example. only your B2B customers are in it. That is why wit select for us our condition with the name “test customers”. Now you can determine for yourself from how much to how much quantity-wise the respective scale should go and how much should be saved. If you save it afterwards, your project is implemented and you can examine it in the frontend. Here we are now on the article detail page for our fish knife and we don’t see a relay yet. Logically, because we are virtually currently a 0-8-15 customer. If we log in, it looks like this. All seasons are visible and, once we put a certain amount in the cart, we also see the discount there.
