Here you can find the Shopware 6 order and customer administration

This blog article will be about managing orders and customers. As usual, the whole thing takes place in the Shopware 6 backend. In the left column you will find the menu item Orders as well as Customers. We start directly with the orders, click on it there and can see our customer data in a well-structured way. But beyond the overview, there is also the possibility to create a new order. You can get a detailed view of the respective order by clicking on the three dots at the end of the line of the respective order. This also allows the payment to be confirmed or deleted.

Directly above it, the payment status can be defined, i.e. whether the invoice has been paid by the customer or only partially paid, and the order status can be adjusted. In the gray groupbox we find information about the order itself, i.e. in which sales channel it was placed, which shipping and payment method was chosen and in which language the order was placed. Again below that, the individual items of the order are listed, i.e. which products were purchased and what total they add up to. If we scroll down a little further, the status history can be used to see exactly when the order was placed and exactly when the payment was received. The good thing is that you can also edit this history directly in this groupbox. As the penultimate option, you can once again obtain precise details about the delivery in order to generate a desired receipt at the very end of the page. These include the delivery bill, an invoice or a cancellation invoice or credit note. Once the invoice has been created, it can be downloaded as a PDF by clicking on the three dots.

To get more information about this specific customer, we go to Customers in the left column of the Shopware 6 backend and there we also see directly the said customer and again, as with orders, we can use the three dots at the end of the row to get more information. We can now view the customer information, edit it or delete the customer from the file. We want to edit this once and here again we see the account information in the topmost part. Below this, the customer can be assigned to a customer group, the default payment type can be viewed and changed, and their previous turnover can be defined.
The lowest groupbox shows the delivery and billing address. If the customer has used several addresses in the past, all addresses will be displayed under the“Addresses” tab. All orders in turn are displayed in the“Orders” tab including order number, amount, order status and date. When the editing has been completed, it can be closed with the Save button. So this is how you can manage your Shopware 6 orders and customers.
