Sell on eBay and Amazon through Shopware Markets

In our video series on marcos software’s multichannel solution, we have already talked extensively about the topic of multichannel and pointed out why selling on marketplaces and the online store is not and should not be an “either or”. In this case, the solution was to enter the items once in JTL-Wawi and then transfer them to the marketplaces using Unicorn 2. This is now possible directly in Shopware – because with Shopware Markets now exists the extension that makes it possible to offer your products outside of your store.
How you as a Shopware merchant can now easily sell on eBay and Amazon, we show you in this article.

How to set up Shopware Markets

If you are using a 6.1 version or newer, then you have the possibility to use this new app – as it is now called. There are two ways to set this up. Either directly during installation using the initial setup wizard or you can go to the Shopware Store, download Shopware Markets and then upload this app and install it under My Extensions. Once you have done this, activate it with the toggle switch. After that you should press the “Plus” button next to the sales channels and you will be shown the view for setting up new sales channels

Create sales channel and enter basic settings

Now create your desired sales channel. To set up your sales channel, enter the basic settings. This includes the name of your sales channel, which then simply serves for better overview. Both providers have for different countries, different marketplaces. Therefore select here which one you want to control. Currency and language should be self-explanatory. Countries are the countries for which you want to accept orders. With payment methods you can choose the payment methods you want to allow. The same applies to the shipping methods. After you have finally activated the sales channel, it will be displayed in the sidebar. Click on it and you will get the possibility to log in with your eBay login data. This will check the connection.

Map categories and assign products to Shopware Markets sales channel

Once the verification is complete, it makes a difference whether your eBay or Amazon account is already filled with products. A special service is offered for the takeover of the products. Consequently, the simpler method would be to delete the products from the marketplace and transfer them from Shopware. To do this, you need to map the categories and select the items to be transferred. If they don’t exist here, you can go into a product and you could select the new marketplace sales channel in the storefront assignments section and your headless channel. In the end, of course, do not forget to save. If this has piqued your interest, you will probably be interested in how deep you have to dig into your wallet.
