Another way to view the status anonymously is to open Whatsapp Web via the incognito mode. Thus, you can see texts, but photos and videos can unfortunately only be viewed blurry. For Safari, go to File, and for other browsers, go to the top right and click the three dots to open a new private window. Now go to “Whatsapp Web”, select the status page and turn off the internet connection. Now you can view the status anonymously. After that, close the browser and make sure to turn on the Internet connection again only after that, in order to remain truly anonymous.

With the file manager of your phone, you have the opportunity to open status files. Smartphones that run Android have the file manager pre-installed: WhatsApp often downloads content that your friends post. These are stored in a specific folder that you can access.
