The Shopware Store is the heart for all extensions and themes of your Shopware 5 or Shopware 6 online store. To help you find your way around this directly, we have produced this tutorial for you. Included is the explanation where you then install the extensions in the backend.
If you also had to contest the choice between the free Community Edition of Shopware 6 and the Professional Edition and have decided for the free variant for now, but now you are missing certain things in the store, then this article is aimed entirely at you. We will go through the Shopware Store, show you where to find what and how to purchase the extensions and bring them into your Shopware store. If the tedious setup of your online store seems to be too time-consuming for you, we at eBakery will gladly take care of your project right from the start. We will now take a look around the Shopware Store. By the way, you can reach it via the URL “store.shopware.com”. Here, the page is currently structured in such a way that you get the upcoming expansions teased first. That means if you go there, you will see all plugins that will be released soon. In order to display only what is relevant for you, you can use the search mask on the left. Should you for example. have set to the new cloud version, future extensions that are also usable for Shopware Cloud can only be displayed. But if we go back and scroll down a little bit, the more important section for you appears. Here all extensions are divided into 4 sections. Sale, SEO, World of Experience and Marketing. Now both themes and plugin extensions are displayed here simultaneously. The common denominator is that both sales should have an optimizing effect. Some of you might wonder what the number or the color in the upper right corner means. If the Shopware sign can be seen, it means that it is a product developed by Shopware, but it is only compatible with Shopware 5. If it says 6, then it is definitely compatible with Shopware 6. The colors are indicators of success. For a bronze award, this extension must have been downloaded 25 times, have at least a 4-star overall rating, and the producer must have been registered for at least 6 months.
For a silver award, it is 75 downloads, at least 5 reviews with an average of at least 4 stars, and 12 months of manufacturer registration. For a Gold certificate you need 115 downloads, 15 reviews with at least 4 stars and the registration of the manufacturer must be at least 2 years ago. In addition, there are other criteria, which you can read again on the Shopware page about the certifications. You can also filter for these specifically. So if you are looking for bronze items but want them to have a 5 star rating, you can do that with the search mask on the left. You will find the same system with the same layout for the other 4 categories. If you are looking for a specific plugin, you can also search for it by name above. In the product detail view itself, you will then be shown all the necessary information. Like the name of the manufacturer, the rating, how often this has already been downloaded, of course the price, the compatibility, by whom the support is provided, if there are problems, as usually a very detailed description of the product in the body text, so that you also know exactly what it is then.
If you scroll down on the main page, you will see e.g. the top apps of this week are displayed, as well as a best of extensions and themes visualized. Otherwise, if you are only interested in one of the two, you can click on the header above. go to Themes and then see category related the individual themes. So if you sell sporting goods, you can go to Themes and Sports / Lifestyle + Travel. You’d rather take a real one right away, so you just search for gold certified and then get your very targeted choice.
You should now be able to find your way around the Shopware Store. Once you have chosen an extension, there are two options to add it.
Either you are normally in the browser in the store, can then put the extension in the shopping cart and download or the license is stored in your account. To do this, you need to log in to the extensions section and then download your extension. This is then located in this area.
