The imprint indicates who exactly is the responsible website owner. For this purpose, certain information is required, such as the address of the owner. All mandatory information for your imprint is listed in the Telemedia Act. The following points must not be neglected:
- the operator of the website or the responsible
- the address
- the representation of the company
- your identification number

For the simple creation of the imprint, Shopify offers a free tool that adheres to the legal obligations. With the Shopify Imprint Generator you can create your imprint in just 5 steps.
Insert imprint in the store
Once you have entered all the data, you only need to add the imprint to your store. To do this, log in to Shopify and go to Online Store. Next, click Pages and then Add Page in the upper right corner. Here you enter your imprint and click on save.
Since your imprint should be easy to reach for every visitor of your website, it makes sense to connect the imprint with the menu of your store.
