Shopify is an online store system that works a little differently than other stores. Hosting is completely handled by Shopify, no downloads are available. If you want to try Shopify, you can create a 14-day trial account.

Shopify is well suited for startups or dropshipping. Today, as a Shopify agency, we present the pricing model and what the differences are.

Shopify versions at a glance

Since the prices are only given in dollars, you can find out the exact prices in euros by using a converter. Google is happy to help out here.

Basic Shopify

This will give you a solid foundation on which to build your business. For $29/month you get:

• 2 Personnel accounts
• 24/7 support
• Sales via social networks and marketplaces such as eBay
• Manual creation of orders
• Discount codes
• Free SSL Certificate
• Restoration of canceled baskets
• Gift vouchers

You’ll also get access to Shopify Payments. This will allow your customers to make payments via credit cards, instant bank transfer and Klarna Pay Later, setting the payment term from 14 to 60 days. However, you will get your money immediately.

For these payment methods, Shopify will charge you the following fees:

• Credit card: 2,4$ + 0,25 €
• Instant rate: 1.4% + 0.25 €
• Klarna Pay Later: 2.99% + €0.35

For all other payment methods Shopify charges a flat rate of 2%.

Shopify

The next stage of the store is simply called Shopify. For $79/month you get:

• Manual creation of orders
• Discount codes
• Free SSL Certificate

Also, the fees credit card payment is reduced.

• Credit card: 2,1% + 0,25 €
• Instant rate: 1.4% + 0.25 €
• Klarna Pay Later: 2.99% + €0.35

For additional payment methods, only 1% will be charged.

Advanced Shopify

With this, you move up to the top class. For $299/month you get:

• Online store incl. Blog
• Unlimited products
• 15 Personnel accounts
• 24/7 support
• Sales via social networks and marketplaces such as eBay
• Manual creation of orders
• Discount codes
• Free SSL Certificate
• Restoration of canceled baskets
• Gift vouchers
• Professional reports
• Advanced report generation function
• Third-party shipping cost display on checkout page – no more flat rate, but correctly calculated shipping costs.

Fees will be further reduced:

• Credit card: 1,8% + 0,25 €
• Instant rate: 1.4% + 0.25 €
• Klarna Pay Later: 2.99% + €0.35

For additional payment methods, only 0.5% will be charged.

More advantages of Shopify

Since hosting is already included in the tariff, you don’t have to worry about server security or anything else. Considering what good store hosting usually costs, Shopify is really cheap. Also, only extensions that have been tested and approved by Shopify can be installed, which further increases security.
