How to find dropshipping suppliers for Shopify is explained in this video. The goal is to find trustworthy suppliers for fast delivery times, so that first the basis of your Shopify dropshipping business is in place.
This dropshipping special is about finding suppliers. There is a relatively quick “easy” way to find a supplier and a slightly harder way. Let’s talk about the easy way first: that would be POD – that’s called “Print on Demand” – and you might know that platform like Teezily or Shirtinator, where you can upload your designs or creatives, respectively, and then distribute them. Shirtinator, Teezily, there are a few others like Redbubble, then distribute these products. That is, you only need to promote this product. You can use the platform itself for your products, however, you can also set up your own store (Shopify, WordPress, as the case may be, Shopware, whatever you want) and via plugin you can connect the POD store to your online store with a few clicks and give it its own name and CI.
Well that is the easiest way. Because then you can sell T-shirts, mugs, caps, jute bags, depending on what the platform offers. For example, the most popular are also canvases – I personally find a very good idea. Why? It’s simple – you should always use a niche in e-commerce. That means: let’s take the construct canvases. Now here’s what you could do, you could offer canvases to be printed for customers, but that’s not going to pick anyone up because most of the time customers don’t even know “okay, what am I going to do on this?”. But if you now have a Online store If you make an online store, especially for baby pictures, and maybe you use UGC – User Generated Content – to promote your online store, which only focuses on baby picture canvases, then you hit a niche or an exact target group and this works better than just offering the service.
Then when you have a few customers, you have records and then you can get started with paid ads. Before that, of course, you do it organically, that’s the easiest way in POD, of course, you can do that with mugs, T-shirts, etc.. Well, okay! That was the easy way.
Let’s get to the hard way. However, the hard way is usually the slightly better way. Why? It is not so easy to copy. Here I would like to mention that the most common principle is dropshipping via Aliexpress. I would advise against this, because you are the manufacturer, so to speak, by the import laws. This brings certain dangers and you have a lot of work before you even get started. Work with licensing rights, work with certain certificates that the products need, you don’t know where the Aliexpress retailer got the images. There are enough suppliers in the EU area that you can also use. For this, search sites like WLW – werliefertwas.de, or lieferanten.de – theoretically, that’s enough – but you can also just google for white label, or private label, or drop shipping. However, the platform WLW helps a lot, because you can sort by manufacturer and wholesaler. And as you know with research, one thing leads to another. You might find a teddy bear factory there which in turn leads to a textile retailer and zackzarap, you suddenly have a supplier for other items you might not have had on your radar.
I recommend werliefertwas.de, I recommend EU area, or at least countries that are somehow very close, which of course is also EU area. Keep in mind that the first search results are of course the ones that all other dropshippers find. Say, possibly this field could be a bit crowded. Known e.g. Big Buy. Big Buy is very large, is now no longer so profitable because the prices are not quite so great or no margin remains.
The very best thing you can do is just deal with yourself, what do you know about. Do you know anything about luxury items? With watches? With glasses? With clothes? with jewelry? Cell phone cases? No matter what it is, choose the niche you are familiar with and deal with the target audience because you belong to the target audience. Let’s briefly summarize again: POD, supplier search via WLW, private label, drop shipment, white label. These are the keywords you should use for your research. When you have found something there, deal with developing a logo or the CI and then we go to the next step.
