What is Shopify Payments?

It depends. In any case, you need to check beforehand if your sales assortment is in accordance with the Shopify Payments T&Cs. Thus, articles exclusively for adults, gambling articles and, consequently, tobacco products, pharmaceutical products, fireworks, etc. are not allowed. Chargebacks are just as difficult, or more likely costly.

Considerable sums are charged for this. If necessary, include this in your price calculation. And also the last possibly occurring disadvantage, is rather the exception and also occurs with other providers. For example, amounts may be frozen in the event of suspicious account activity or erroneous chargebacks. But as I said, this can also happen with PayPal if specific cases have to be clarified first.

So, to sum up, the advantages clearly outweigh the disadvantages. Is Shopify Payments alone enough?
Probably not. PayPal in particular is a criteria that can lead to failure if you do not offer it in the store.
