How to link Shopify products in Instagram posts
How you can connect the Instagram Shop with Shop ify and thus link Shopify products directly in Instagram posts, we explain in this Shopify tutorial.

In this article, we sort of pick up where a previous episode left off on our channel. We already showed you how to set up Instagram Shopping (Instagram Shop Setup). Now we’ll expand on that and explain how to connect Instagram and Shopify.
This then has the advantage that you can, for example. link your products in a feed post and your community, as well as all new people you reach through hashtags, will be redirected directly from Instagram to the Shopify store.

But let’s go through what to look for in Instagram store setup in a quick run-through beforehand. You must have a Business or Creator account and meet Meta’s guidelines. That means both your Facebook and Instagram account, as well as your Facebook page, must stand up to the Terms of Service as well as the Trading Guidelines. Furthermore, you represent a company and therefore also own a domain. This should radiate trustworthiness – so fake numbers or email addresses would be out of place here. Now you need to connect your Instagram account and Facebook page and access the Commerce Manager via Facebook Business Suite. From this point there are two paths to continue. Either like in our previous video, that the internal catalog is used as a basis, or e.g. the internal catalog is used as a basis. Shopify serves as the basis for the products. To connect Shopify and Facebook now, we’ll follow the same procedure as in our “Setting up Facebook Pixel” video, which we’ve linked to you in the top right corner.
Create Facebook sales channel in Shopify
We’re the very first to add Facebook to Shopify as a sales channel. Then we select the Facebook marketing setup. Here you need to connect your personal Facebook profile. To do this, enter your Facebook password. Now you will see all the Business Manager profiles associated with this account. Select the one you want to use and do the same for your ad account and Facebook page. Now select the pixel that is also stored in your Facebook account. Then, after you have set your destination country, complete the setup. If something doesn’t work for you, try to implement all the steps from the video “Create Facebook Pixel and connect it to your Shopify online store” 1:1. Once this setup for Facebook Marketing is complete, you should have “Instagram Shopping” as an option in the Facebook sales channel.

Continues the setup. Now green check marks should appear behind all points. If not, you already know where the problem lies. All you have to do now is sign in with your Instagram Business account and select your Facebook Commerce account, or if you haven’t done that before, create a new one. Finally, you have to accept the terms and conditions and you are done. Unfortunately, this does not mean that you can start directly, but only that your store has been submitted for review, which can take several days or even weeks. So take these steps as early as possible. However, you can view the current status yourself on Instagram at any time. To do this, go into the settings, click on “Business” and “Set up Instagram Shopping”.
