The modular structure of the modern business software allows the ERP solution to be expanded and adapted as required.

Connect Xentral with Shopify

Which Xentral interfaces you should use depends mainly on the strategy you are pursuing with your online business. For example, with the appropriate API interface, Xentral can be easily connected to store systems such as Shopify, which creates several advantages. For this, you first need to set up the Shopify interface manually. Proceed as follows:

Open your Shopify store in Xentral and navigate to the Details tab > interface and then Settings.

Now navigate to Administration > Shop Interfaceand fill in the fields and checkboxes:

  • Designation
    Enter the name of your store.
  • Active
    Place a check mark here to enable the interface.
  • Project
    Connect the store with a project.
  • Date from
    Select the time from which Xentral should pick up Shopify orders here.
  • Interface start
  • Import mode
    Choose whether you want Xentral to fetch orders from the Shopify store on a regular basis (Automatically), or if you prefer to perform this process manually.

Now you can save the settings. The next step is to configure the Shopify settings. To do this, navigate to Administration > Shop interface, select the Shopify store and fill in the fields and checkboxes:

  • Advanced logging
    By default, this option is disabled. Activation is suitable, for example, to check the log file for actual responses in case of problems.
  • Shopify URL
    Enter the URL of your Shopify store here.
  • Shopify API Key
    You can find the API key in the Shopify backend.
  • Shopify password
  • Shopify token
    This field fills in automatically when you click Check Connection.
  • Transfer prices as net

When you have filled in all the fields, you can save the settings. Now go to the Action section via Administration > Shop interface. Here you can now choose from the following actions:

  • Check connection
  • Pick up orders
  • Store import intermediate table
  • Pick up article list

Now Xentral is connected to Shopify and the two systems are able to exchange the following information with each other:

  • Orders from Shopify to Xentral
  • Status of the order from Xentral to Shopify
  • Article master data from Xentral to Shopify
  • Item inventory from Xentral to Shopify

In this way, Xentral can be easily connected to Shopify, which automatically synchronizes all orders, items, and inventory between the two systems. This is an advantage that should not be underestimated, especially if you are pursuing a multichannel strategy and also want to sell via other platforms. This saves you valuable time, which you can use for the actual core business.
