What is WordPress?
But now let’s start thematically: What exactly is WordPress? As we have already noted, this is a CMS. This means that your content can be managed with it. How and where can you use a server?
Very few people put something like this in their home, which is why it is common to rent a part of a server from a so-called hosting provider. These hosting providers include: Siteground, Bluehost, Hostpress, Strato or even All-Inkl. These vary in price, the quality of customer support, but also the quality of performance. The more data that has to be provided, the higher the server’s performance should be. Because slow loading times, can be penalized by Google, which can cost you places in the SERPs. For the beginning, however, a very simple server is sufficient. What then rather still to pay attention to is that a SSL certificate is included. If this is not present, your site will be identified as insecure and this is also a negative criterion for Google.

But what are the disadvantages?
Many users also always mean a preferred target for hackers. Therefore, you should always be aware of updates in order not to fall victim to any security vulnerability. You may know it from other areas, maybe your living room. The more devices you link together, the more complex and longer the signal chain becomes and the more difficult it is to determine where the fault lies when something stops working. It’s the same with WordPress and the plugins. Many plugins can also always cause errors during updates. So it’s imperative that you keep that in mind and only use the most necessary ones.
