In this article we will look at how to make money as a Creator with TikTok. We had previously produced a video where we touched on possible options. If you are new to the subject, feel free to check it out beforehand. In this episode, however, we want to take a closer look at Creator Next. What this is and how you can benefit from it, you can find out here.

The Creator Next Requirements
Now back to Creator Next. What is it about?
It is TikTok’s own monetization program, but it is not available to every creator.
The participation requirements are as follows. The program must apply to your location. If this is Germany, the point is already checked off for you. In Germany, you must be at least 18 years old. You must have a minimum number of followers, views in the last 30 days and a number of published videos in the last 30 days. To be exact 3 videos, 1000 followers and 1000 video views.
These are the current regulations. Furthermore, the account must of course comply with the community guidelines and terms of use.
Business accounts, on the other hand, are considered an exclusionary criterion. That is, if you thought a business account sounds good and only brings benefits, then that doesn’t apply if you want to make money with TikTok through Creator Next.

But how do you benefit from Creator Next?
It may be that TikTok will approach you virtually by itself once you have met the criteria. Then you will find a notification in your inbox. If you want to actively apply for it yourself, proceed as follows. Go to your profile and click on the three bars in the upper right corner. Then click on “Creator Tools” and at the bottom right on “Join”. Follow the given steps and your application for the monetization program is already submitted.

But how exactly does one benefit from this?
You get to use these 5 options as a Creator Next member, with a small “but”.
Because you are only entitled to the Creative Fund if you have 10K followers and 100K views and for the video gifts you have to have 100K followers. If you can’t, at least you’ll get access to the TikTok Creator Marketplace. This is a platform that brings brands and creators together. That means you can act as an advertising partner. If the tip feature is also available in your country, you can also benefit from it, provided you have the 100K followers here as well. Then your fans can send you a small donation directly from your profile.
The TikTok Live Gifts
However, one feature that should be unlocked for you right away, since you already met the basic requirements to apply for the Creator Next program, is Live Gifts. These work as follows.
The user must first purchase TikTok Coins in order to own TikTok credits. These can be purchased via the payment methods stored in the App Store or Google Play Store. These TikTok coins can then be used to buy and give gifts to the Creator within the stream. Through these gifts, the Creator receives diamonds, which in turn can be turned into money.
That is, if we just barely unlocked Creator Next is, in principle, the only method to quickly earn money.
