Facebook Story Swipe Up Link Insert

Under 10K Subscribers Swipe Up Link to Integrate into Story

In this Facebook tutorial we will show you how you can use the Facebook Story Swipe Up Link function even without 10,000 subscribers and thus add an external link.

Facebook Story Swipe Up Link - How to insert it

In the last episode, we showed you how you can swipe up links in your story even without a 10,000 follower Instagram account. In this episode, we’re going to see if the same is possible for your Facebook Story. First of all, it should be said that 10,000 followers unlock the privilege of adding any external links to the story as a swipe up. But even here there are alternative solutions, which we now demonstrate to you.

How to add your store link to the Facebook Story without 10K subscribers

Since you as an online merchant usually want to link your online store anyway, there is the possibility to store the URL of your store in the page info. To do this, go to your company Facebook page. There you go to the subitem Info. This globe icon represents your website, whose URL you can enter here by clicking Edit Page Info.
Once you’ve done that, click on your profile picture and create a new story. We’ll take the thumbnail of our last video in the screencast and see the design options at the top right. This also includes the link button. If you had 10,000 subscribers, a box would now appear here. where you can enter your custom URL. We can now use e.g. just click on More about it and would thus include a Swipe Up hint that would take you to our website, which we have just deposited. We can accentuate the whole thing by adding a call-to-action sticker in the form of a gif.

Instagram Story with Web Link Insert as Facebook Story Swipe Up Link

Another method we use at eBakery is to share the Instagram Story on Facebook. However, this assumes that you already have 10,000 followers on Instagram and can therefore use the Web Link Swipe Up feature.
Another requirement is to link your Instagram account to the Facebook page. If you haven’t done that yet, you can simply watch our tutorial. If both are given, you can go to your link icon, paste the web link and you will already see on the bottom left that the story would be shared on our Instagram channel as well as on Facebook.

This is what the Facebook Story looks like

The story is visually adopted 1 to 1 and shared as a Facebook Story, but the link is also included. That means Facebook Story visitors would be directed by swipe up, in our case to the latest video.
