How to install the Magento DATEV interface for your store is the topic of this screencast tutorial. We will show you how to install the Magento 2 DATEV interface from the company JERA and link it to your Gambio store.
Preparations for the Magento DATEV interface installation
In order to make invoice management for our Magento 2 store as easy as possible for us and ultimately our tax advisor, we should rely on an FIBU interface. One that we will show you in this video is the Magento 2 DATEV interface from JERA. Depending on the desired scope, this can also be purchased on the JERA GmbH site or tested free of charge. Put them in your shopping cart, enter your contact information and download the software installer.
Starts the installer
The folder should then look something like this and contain the installation file. Execute it with a double click, click next, read the license agreement once and accept it. Here, too, you can opt for either the complete or the stripped-down installation variant. Click on“Next” again and then on“Install“. After that, the installation process will start and once the green bar is completely filled, you will have to press“Finish“.
How to get your Magento DATEV interface up and running
To get the software running, the php files need to be copied from the Magento2DATEV folder, which in turn is located in your programs folder, and uploaded to the root directory of your Magento store. We accomplish this by means of FTP client. After that, open your Magento FIBU interface software and set up your Magento store. To do this, click on Setup and WebShop. Enter your store URL here, feel free to test it with the button provided and save the changes. Here is a small but very important tip. We have now often seen that store owners have inserted the correct store domain, but have added a space at the end. This can lead to problems under certain circumstances. Therefore, we would like to point out that the domain should not contain any unwanted spaces.
How to get to your DATEV invoices
Afterwards, the desired document period can be selected here as well and the documents can be read out with the cogwheel symbol. To convert them to the common DATEV format and export them, click on the icon next to it and finally open the Windows Explorer. Here you will find your DATEV-compliant invoices and only have to send them to your tax advisor.
