In this TikTok tutorial, we will demonstrate 5 methods for you to download TikTok videos. Whether in the app itself or on respective websites, we have every method ready for you.
How to download TikToks
Sometimes you see a video on TikTok that you just think is cool or you want to watch again later and download it. For these cases, we have several methods for you to easily save TikToks to your smartphone if the TikTok Creator allows it. Let’s start with the first one.
Download TikToks in the app
Some TikTokers allow people to download your videos. If that’s the case, you can even download the videos easily via the TikTok app. To do this, simply tap on the video for a longer time until the menu appears. In the menu you will now find the item “Save video”. However, if TikToker does not allow downloads, the option is missing. Now just tap save and the video will be saved to your phone.
Save TikToks on iPhone
For users with an iPhone, there is an additional option to download TikToks. As an iPhone user, you have the option to save the video as a live photo. Just press the arrow with which you can send the video. Here you will now find the Live Photo item. If you select it, the TikTok video will be converted to a live photo and saved to your gallery. Then open it in the gallery and tap the share button and save it as a video. Now you can easily remove the watermark by cropping the video.
Download TikToks by sharing and saving it
When you send a TikTok video, it can be downloaded later. To do so, press the share arrow and send it to yourself by mail or through another messenger. Later you can download it, but only with watermark.

If the download doesn’t work, you can easily capture the video from TikTok by making a screen recording. On an iPhone this is already integrated, on an Android phone you can download a suitable app from the Playstore.
Download TikToks with another app
There are now also many apps and websites offered to download TikTok videos from the app. Often, these apps can even save the videos without a watermark and other overlays. Unfortunately, we cannot give you a recommendation at this point, as these sites and apps are blocked time and again. Also, be careful when choosing the service, because you can catch a virus while downloading.

Keep in mind with all options that TikToks can be downloaded only for personal and not commercial purposes. This info is specified in the TikTok T&Cs and is protected by copyright in Germany. Thus, videos may be stored on the cell phone. However, you may not easily republish or redistribute downloaded videos.
