Connect Afterbuy to your financial accounting system

Afterbuy 2 DATEV – As we have already learned in the previous videos, Plenty and JTL differ from each other in their core. Because unlike JTL, Afterbuy also falls into the category of cloud-based ERP systems. Nevertheless, there are also differences between Afterbuy and Plentymarkets, which Johannes Seidel will explain to you in detail in today’s video.

Jera GmbH has a 2 DATEV interface for Afterbuy

As an online retailer, have you ever taken a closer look at the topic of financial accounting? A complex and important topic that you definitely can’t neglect. Jera GmbH develops DATEV FIBU interfaces for financial accounting for online trade. And thus helps you create a link between eCommerce and accounting. In addition to store systems and marketplaces, Jera GmbH can also connect ERP systems with its 2 DATEV interfaces. One of these systems is Afterbuy. Afterbuy is an all-in-one solution for your online business, an intelligent control center. International multichannel can be easily mapped with Afterbuy, because you can serve several marketplaces at the same time.

Core tasks of the interface

Thus, Afterbuy is a classic in eCommerce that can be processed by Jera GmbH. Via the dynamic data export you can read out your purchase and revenue entries, whereupon the 2 DATEV interface generates revenue entries for the tax advisor. The most important tasks of the Afterbuy 2 DATEV interface are thus:

  • Reading the Afterbuy invoices
  • Account assignment of the entries
  • Output of the bookings as DATEV format

Afterbuy is a cloud-based ERP system. While there is no direct API access, Afterbuy does have the ability to generate a report from the backend. This is a CSV based format where all your sales are packed into a ZIP file. Information such as where an item was shipped to or what tax was used is also recorded.

Scope of functions of the Afterbuy 2 DATEV interface

By capturing this additional information, issues such as delivery thresholds or PanEU can be handled well. However, as a merchant, you must ensure that the dynamic data export is enabled. Because the ZIP file must be unpacked and the CSV file must be read into the Afterbuy 2 DATEV interface locally on your computer. The range of functions offered is already extensive, but it cannot be offered 100%. This is because not all information is yet available from the Afterbuy report. However, the most important functions are covered, these include:

  • Output DATEV format
  • Consider delivery thresholds
  • PanEU Assign accounts
  • Assign payment types

Jera GmbH also supports your tax advisor

In the payment methods can be assigned different, such as Paypal payments, Amazon payments or real.de payments. In addition, the interface is constantly being optimized so that further functions will follow. But already now you can automate your financial accounting with the Afterbuy 2 DATEV interface. If your tax advisor still needs some help with eCommerce, Jera GmbH supports him as well. She provides guidance on what data she needs and educates him about online commerce, including a joint conference call. With the trial version, Jera GmbH generates an accounting file that you can provide to your tax advisor for one month. This way your accountant has the revenue entries for the entire month. If you are both satisfied, you can finally decide to buy the interface.
