How to set up the contact form for PrestaShop

Configure the PrestaShop contact area to customize your PrestaShop contact form and for existing stores to store them. You can learn how this works in this blog article or watch our screencast.

Here you can configure the PrestaShop contact area

A basic element that should not be missing in any PrestaShop is the contact area. Therefore, in this article we will take a look at how you can customize it in your PrestaShop backend. You can find the appropriate area under Settings -> Shop Settings and Contact.

Piece by piece to the individual contact form

Here you can first of all see the different areas that a customer can select in the contact field in order to directly contact the appropriate person with his inquiry. In the frontend it would look like this. The customer can select the two areas and would then send his registered message to the respective stored e-mail address. If the whole thing is managed centrally, you can mark the position that is virtually superfluous and delete it under Actions. If, on the other hand, you have more than the existing areas, you can add a new contact field using the button at the top right. In this case, the heading visible in the frontend is a mandatory field and the selection whether Messages should be saved under “Customer service” on the “Customer” page. If you want to receive a direct notification, enter the appropriate e-mail address. To know more precisely which contact field is for what, a more detailed description can be added.

How to set up the contact details of your stores

If you not only sell online, but also run retail stores, it is a good idea to set them up under Shops. Here, too, the button for adding a store is available at the top right, as usual. In addition to the standard contact data, you also have to enter the coordinates of your store, you can integrate an image that is then displayed in the frontend and you can enter the respective opening hours. In the frontend, the whole thing is then, for example. in the footer under stores.
