How to send sound emojis in Facebook Messenger
Facebook Soundmojis - What is it?
Facebook recently introduced a whole new type of emoji through Messenger. These new emojis have an associated sound and are called sound emojis. Facebook plans to regularly expand and update the already released Soundemoji library. The library contains the classic emojis, but also new ones to choose from. The classic emojis have been given an obvious sound. For example, clapping hands play an applause or a violin gives the corresponding violin sound. The new emojis play sounds from TV shows, movies, and audio clips from artists. For example, a fist bump emoji quotes the line from Fast and the Furious 7: “I don’t have friends, I have family.”. An hourglass quotes rapper Drake: “You only live once, that’s the motto”.
Facebook Soundmojis - Requirements
If you want to use the soundmojis, you need the latest version first. So if your Facebook messenger is not up to date yet, install the necessary updates. To find the sound emojis in Messenger, go to any Messenger conversation and tap the emoji icon. On the right side you will see the Soundmoji icon. Now scroll through the available options and select a sound moji. After selection, the sound moji will open in an enlarged preview where the corresponding sound will be played. All you have to do now is tap Send and the sound moji will be sent.
Problems for iPhone users?
Many iPhone 12 and 11 users report problems after the latest iOS update. The sound mojis no longer work on these devices or cannot be found. Some Android users are also said to be affected. Also, messages from other users that contain sound mojis will no longer show up in chat on these devices. Facebook is currently working on a solution to the problem. However, even after the latest update to Messenger, the sound moji icon is still gone. However, there will surely be a solution in the future, so you will have to be patient for a while.
