Instagram - No more photo sharing app?
In recent weeks and months, there have been many different updates and changes on Instagram. Therefore, in this article we will introduce you to the most relevant updates. Instagram is about to change. The CEO announced a month ago that they were no longer a photo sharing app and many things would change in the coming weeks. In addition to these big and official changes, there have been many smaller updates recently, which we present to you today. Instagram Updates 2021 - The Reels
Let’s start with the two updates to Reels: Instagram now allows Reels up to 60 seconds. Previously, it was only possible to record reels up to 30 seconds. 60 seconds is certainly good news for many creators, as they can now be more flexible. By the way, the optimal length for a TikTok or Reel is 16 seconds, as this is the average time a video gets our attention.
Automatic captions: This update allows users to have the text they speak in their video appear on the screen. This allows you to watch reels without sound. This feature is like a sticker that you drag onto the reel, which then automatically creates a subtitle and plays it on the screen.
Instagram Updates 2021 - All about the Story Renewals
Next, let’s take a look at the two updates for Instagram Stories: Instagram Story Translation: This update gives us users a translation feature for Stories. This allows users who speak a different language to read what is being told in the story in a subtitle in your language. However, this feature is not yet available everywhere in Germany.
Drafts: Another feature that was recently released here in Germany is saving stories as drafts. Stories can now be created and then edited and posted again at a later time. You can also find a separate article on this topic.
Instagram Collaboration
The latest update from Instagram is the Instagram Collaborations feature. Many creators and bloggers have been waiting for this feature for a long time. It allows two different accounts on Instagram to create a post together that will show up in both accounts’ feeds. Everything regarding this post will be shared between both accounts. There is even a shared Insights section for this post. Both accounts also get notifications and engagement, and even the comments section is shared. Both accounts post virtually the same post, which is treated as a single post by Instagram. This requires that both accounts agree to a collaboration request.
