Instagram Insights - The analytics tool for your Instagram profile

Instagram Insights is an analytics tool that allows you to see various statistics about your own profile. For example, users can see information about the reach of a post. The goal of Instagram Insights is to give users a better understanding of their account’s audience and followers. Especially in the field of marketing, this is very important. The insights also show which content is viewed particularly often. This makes it easier to understand what content works well and what your followers want to see most from you. How to access your Instagram Insights

As a prerequisite to see the Insights, you must have an Instagram business account. So if you don’t want to miss out on the insights, you should convert your profile into a company profile. You can do this at any time free of charge. If this requirement is met, then the insights are automatically available to you. There are 4 ways you can access the Insights.

  • About Stories: To do this, you need to go to your own Stories and simply swipe up.
  • Via your own company profile: To do this, go to your Instagram profile and press the three dashes at the top left. Now the menu opens. All you have to do now is press Insights.
  • About a post. To do this, go to the respective post for which you want to see the insights and at the bottom left you will see “View Insights” in blue.
  • Via the Facebook Creator Studio: To do this, go to business.facebook.com and log in using your Facebook account. Here you can find the Insights on the left side.

In the Insights, you will find various points that we will now take a closer look at.
In the overview you can see the achieved accounts. The comparison to the last 30 days is particularly important for this point. You can analyze the number of accounts reached in the past 7, 14 and 30 days through the reach statistics. You can analyze the changes in more detail under “Content interaction”. The period can be changed in the upper left corner. It is also possible to analyze other activities related to your profile, such as impressions, profile views and clicks on the specified web page. The Content Interaction section lists user interactions. Here you can find information about interactions, posts, stories, reels and IGTV videos. These are ranked by interactions.

Take a closer look at the growth of your channel

The “your audience” section shows who your followers are. However, you will only get more detailed information on this if you have 100 or more subscribers. If you have them, you can analyze the growth of your account with the help of graphs here. Under content you’ve shared, you can view more information about your posts, stories, etc. Again, you can select longer time periods and look for specific metrics, such as “tapped on email button” or “saved content”. This will give you more specific information about your account.
