Save Instagram Story as draft
The new story function makes it possible
Finally, Instagram has rolled out Story Drafts to all users. In our video, we’ll show you how the new Instagram tool works, how you can use it most effectively for your purposes, and what the benefits are. Instagram Stories can now be saved as a draft.
Save Instagram Story as draft - Our 3 advantages
You now have the option to save your Stories as a draft in the app before posting them. Let’s take a look at why this is beneficial for us. The first advantage is that Stories that you want to post at a later time do not need to be downloaded. The second advantage is that you can re-edit the stories that you have saved as drafts. This is not possible with stories that you save on your phone, because the story is saved with the filter used. This cannot be removed afterwards. The third advantage is that you can also use stickers or surveys and they can be edited afterwards. If you just save your stories as before, these stickers/surveys will no longer work.
That's how long the story is in your designs
A saved story draft is available for 7 days, after which the draft is automatically deleted. The only downside to this is that Stories are only saved as drafts on the device they were created on. This means that if, for example, two people manage an account together, they will not be able to see each other’s designs. So drafts are not stored like in a cloud, but only on the device where they were saved as a draft.
Save Instagram Story as draft - How to do it
Now let’s look at how you can save your stories as drafts. First, open Instagram and go to Create New Story. Now create the story and press the arrow on the left. Then press Save Draft and that’s it. To see all your designs, swipe up in story mode. So you can find all drafts and edit them again and then post them. That’s all you need to know about the brand new Story Drafts feature. If this feature isn’t available to you yet, it shouldn’t be long before Instagram unlocks it for you.
